These stories make me angry, both as a respectable teacher and as the parent of a 17 year old girl.
However, from a purely intellectual level, I find the article to be sexist both against her and in her favor at the same time. For instance, if this had been a male teacher, they probably would have written something much closer to "pedophile tapes two girls in classroom," which definitely would have been worse. However, using words like "married" and "threesome" is just to make it tawdry and shaming. She's already going to lose her career, her family, and her freedom, so is there really a need to public ally shame her as well?

The crime was that it was teacher/student sex. The right of consent has exceptions.
