(10,745 posts)(Especially for literal "white privilege" Honestly, I didn't really start hearing about white privilege on this site until just last year, and I'd been a member since June of 2011(was lurking for a bit before that). (of course, I'd known about the concept since 2008-09 as you may have heard, and even adhered to it once.....even if I no longer do these days)
And do notice, too, that DU has 180,000+ members these days, but with only maybe a few thousand active posters. More than likely, it honestly seems that many of those people who DO believe in white privilege(especially the literalist version) are willing to be rather open about it, and in the reverse, most who don't believe don't really seem to care one way or the other. So take that as you will.
