Signified the person was Jewish. Edwin Black in the video upthread goes over the classifications, detailing how the cards contained a wealth of data, including occupation, location, cause of death.
Thank you for adding details, Javaman. As the bastards are still at it today, classifying even the loyal opposition as "potential" enemies of the state, truth is what democracy needs.
