The biggest problem with those leading the gun control push is that they do not want to keep the good part.
The best way to achieve a goal is to first state the goal, then devise a plan to meet that goal. Those leading the gun control movements do not do this. They either lie about the goal and/or come up with a plan that does not meet the goal. Doing this correctly is hard work. Those currently crafting such legislation do not like hard work, so they half-ass it or just pay it lip service.
