8. We are in interesting times; fundamentally, we're in the beginning stages of

the ultimate test of what I think of as Greed Power--the mighty forces available to the super-wealthy who seek to finalize their control over the globe. Between outright bribery, election rigging, mass media long ago co-opted into functioning as their propaganda system, police and military forces that bend to their will, and a desperate permanent underclass from which to recruit their lackeys, I must admit that they seem somewhat formidable.

The Zappa Moment is coming:
