The owners would typically fly to where their boats are moored (ie they usually don't captain their own boats, nor do they spend weeks at sea on them). They basically use them as party barges that cruise for a couple of days around the Med, Carribean, Fiji, etc.

I think my entire town could heat their homes for the winter on what it takes in fuel to do a single crossing.
