freed them, they thought, to treat all minorities as suspects, all the progress made up to that point, regarding hate speech against minorities, was pushed back and they were free to scream their bigoted verbal attacks, and even physical in some cases, about Muslims and anyone they could associate with the word 'terrorist'.

De Blasio should stand his ground, because if he does, they will go so far with their hate rhetoric that it will eventually backfire on THEM.

IF he gives in, it won't stop them anyhow. So it's far better to show them that he is not afraid of them which WILL cause them to reveal who they really are.

But he better hire some private security, he should do so anyhow, because the rabid hatred emanating from these thugs IS a threat to the safety of the Mayor and his family.
