(or affirm) that I will support the constitution of the United States,
and the constitution of the State of New York, and that I will
faithfully discharge the duties of the office of ............, according
to the best of my ability; "

But now all the United states, and New York constitutions and the people get in return is their backsides ?

These chumps have got to go since by turning thier backs literally on thier duties, they broke their oaths and they technically are no longer qualified to be police officers.

I found the one for my city too:

Oath of Office

Having been duly appointed a police officer of the City of **** and peace officer of the State of *****, I do solemnly swear that I will defend, enforce, and obey the Constitution and laws of the United States, the State of *****, and the Charter and Ordinances of the City of *****.
That I will obey the lawful orders of my superior officers and the regulations of the ***** Police Department.
That I will protect the rights, lives, and property of all citizens and uphold the honor of the police profession with my life if need be.
This I solemnly swear.

I Like this one better, but one can only hope they honor and keep their oaths these days with extreme skepticism.
