(55,198 posts)114. Why do refineries in the Gulf Coast region need dirty oil?
And why should Americans risk their environment to feed dirty oil to refineries in the Gulf Coast so the product can be shipped elsewhere with little to no benefit for Americans?
Oil shipments shouldn't be dominating rail infrastructure, the oil companies should not have precedence over the shipments of goods ie wheat.
Why do you think Canada doesn't build more refineries to handle our own dirty oil?
