Although he refused to support it after becoming President. "I didn't campaign on the public option,” President Obama told the Washington Post, although the Obama 2008 campaign website had him promising "..any American will have the opportunity to enroll in [a] new public plan." and in a weekly radio address in 2009, President Obama declared that "any plan" that he would be willing to sign "must include" a public option.

He always does. He didn't. He never has. He still does.

Take your pick. With Obama you'll always get options!
