(9,166 posts)You could print an even longer list of research on antibiotics, but only after decades of use (and misuse) did we realize that there were consequences! An MD trained in the 1950s or 1960's had no idea that giving antibiotics like candy would be a problem.
It takes many years to understand complex situations (burning carbon, tobacco causes cancer, lead in paint and gasoline, etc., etc.). GMOs fit exactly into that potential problem.
We all know that GMOs spread to unintended places. We have some idea that living things evolve. The science is NOT established simply because there hasn't been enough time to understand all the possible results.
If you glance through your list, find me a clinical, experimental study where people were divided into groups where half ate GMO food for 20 years and the other half had no exposure to GMOs! That kind of clinical study cannot be easily done - so it's not on the list! We actually have that kind of long term evidence for vaccines. It doesn't exit for GMOs.
