The voters in the State of Michigan have voted for the democratic presidential candidate since 1992. We have two solidly democratic senators .... we have had only one 1-term republican Senator in the last 40 years.
Yet, we have a knuckle dragging extreme right wing state legislature that does NOT represent the will of the residents of the state of Michigan
I do note that we did elect a republican for the governor's house, though (there are a multitude of reasons for this)

It is frustrating when main focus is on the Federal lvl, when the LOCAL govs control our 1 vote.

I don't know that they have much choice. Most of them probably can't afford to go rural.
