but he was for millions who supported him and his efforts to keep Libya and Africa self-sustainable and free from the brutal, oppressive foot of the IMF and World Bank - also, all those migrants who'd been let into Libya and were free, as well as the Libyan people who were treated as human beings with social programs and safety nets they took advantage of to have the highest living standard in NA and the ME.

His crime - using Libyan resources for its own people and not having succumbed to foreign ownership - exactly the reason for every western bombing campaign in recent history. Have you been sleeping???

He opposed the U.S.??? How so? Did he start dropping bombs with drones? Invade? How exactly did he oppose the U.S., and even if some other leader did oppose the U.S. - not even in military terms, why would that be reason for a bombing campaign that decimated human lives, infrastructure, homes, and allowed Libyan people and migrants to be tortured, raped, hung in the streets, etc. by their new brutal, western-sponsored overlords? Libya is a hell-hole now - have you missed all the would-be migrants trying to escape and those who were drowned at sea?
