Some say that words have correct meanings and mean what the dictionary says they mean.

Others say that language is communication using arbitrary symbols and that words mean what average people use them mean.

But ask an average person what the word "dictionary" means and they will say a book listing the correct meanings of words.

Aha!

The dictionary does have a past tense of sneak. It is sneaked. It is an accepted correct usag word, and that's what I mean by real.

Th33rhfigu4go is a real word in that I just used it, but I think you know what I mean.

As long as "snuck" has the "illitrate" tag in dictionaries it will not be a coreect word, though I take your point that a word used by millions has reality.

Eventually the incorrect majority will win out and the dictionaries will change.

See "enormity" and "agravate" for examples of this.
