So how do we "enlighten" Trump voters? [View all]

Whether it's a relative, a friend, an acquaintance, or a stranger, how do you get through to them how dangerous Trump is?

Here's my answer. I have no idea and I don't believe there's any way we can change their "minds." I hope you have a better answer.

If it's a given (as I believe) that Trump voters can't be converted to sanity, the only way to beat them is at the polls. There are more Democrats in this country than Republicans. Unfortunately, some of these Dems have bought into Trump and will vote for him. On the other hand, there are Republicans who understand the danger of a "President Trump" and they are planning on voting Democratic (or not voting at all).

What can you do about all of this?

Vote!

Cut the crap about "i won't vote for whoever," get out there and vote for our Democratic nominee.

This has been an ugly primary season and much resentment exists and will continue to exist. But do you really want Trump anywhere near the nuclear codes? Do you want him picking Supreme Court justices? Do you want him using the enormous powers of the presidency to sidestep congress and the SCOTUS? Do you really trust this psychopathic narcissist to act in the interests of our country? Do you really believe that your own self-interests would be served by this man?

If you decide not to vote for the Democratic nominee, you have no right to bitch about whatever horrors follow if Trump ends up in the White House.
