7. Republicans are the biggest loudmouths where I live.

I often suspect that they heard a conservative rant on AM radio moments earlier.

I rode on Amtrak to California a few years ago (mostly because I'd never traveled anywhere by train before), and I sat next to a bookstore owner from LA at one point. He openly brought up his liberal views and then I did the same. We were both pretty loud, and I peeked behind me to see a prudish-looking couple both frowning. Oh, well. It was nice to be on the "giving" end for once!

I remember asking if radio stations around LA had more liberal hosts, but the guy replied it was the same conservative BS heard around the rest of the country.
