(46,179 posts)I don't think it's going to happen at DU.
Too many are looking for outside agencies to blame, determined not to engage in self-reflection or to change business as usual. If people really wanted to have that discussion, I think it would be good for Democrats and for the Party, as well as for DU.
I don't think DU wants to have that kind of honest, open discussion.
While I've talked a bit, the only in-depth discussions I've had are with family, because we listen to one another and still love and respect each other when we disagree. It was only there that I've been able to say what I really think and feel.
I will say that the foremost response I've had is one of unadulterated rage. I wasn't shocked; I predicted this numerous times over the last year. I hoped desperately I was wrong. I knew I wasn't when I went to bed on election night, before all the results were in, and I spent the next weeks in silent rage, afraid to respond to all the shock and awe and dismay around me because I didn't want to lash out at people.
