1. They are not very bright and never examine what they are taught and do no self-introspection

2. They have a perceived Christian victim-hood they are taught, which makes them feel their lifestyle/beliefs are under constant assault.

3. They have Fox News and RW talk radio reinforcing & bolstering their fears.
