(60,512 posts)for "refighting the primary". I agree that Hillary Clinton's book is something that can not reasonably be ignored and - quite frankly - it is silly to alert on threads that raise this. Yet, once the threads are allowed, it is not right to silence anyone disagreeing with something that is genuinely debatable. Here, I get the problem ... any analysis of a losing campaign - even if it were to have greatly exceeded expectations (which 2016 did not) is painful focusing on all the negatives and erasing all the high moments. I get that many hate seeing HRC criticized because they put their hearts and souls into her winning. However, it is Clinton who actually started the refighting the primaries ... and we can't alert on her.
If the people starting those provacative posts want to discuss it ONLY among people willing to take Hillary's opinions as fact, they should put the thread in DU Hillary Clinton, where less criticism is allowed than on the main forums. A separate forum (or reintstatement of the 2016 forum) without the rule might be better.
