57. "Awe-inspiring"

Probably a reference to Shock and Awe. Did you all pick on what that "strategery" was all about? They began the attack before the deadline was up with the intention of killing Saddam in the first hour of the maneuver. They thought they were going to Pearl Harbor him. For support, they told all their inside pals, like religious leaders, that there would be no American blood spilled.

And Bush and Cheney were wrong. Everything after that was a "flying by the seat of their pants" reaction. And I'm still shocked by how easy it was to reach their supporters here in the U.S., who walked around like invading conquerors of their own country. They bullied anyone who was not on board with them, and if you were a PoC, you were given dirty looks just for walking in the room.

The undesired consequences of that era will be felt for decades to come.
