Harleys are big and loud and stupid. Ducati are sleek and well designed. Chances are that Harley would ruin Ducati before they acknowledged any of the design benefits of the Ducati.

Like when GM bought Saab and made it over, then when they couldn't make a profit killed the brand instead of selling it.
