(7,836 posts)you are not advised that you have been removed for being "inactive". I have long argued for mandatory notification just like they would for suspending your driver's license, having property violations etc. It is inherently a problem to yank something away without notification. But of course that's their point. They want you to find out last minute and make you either give up or go provisional and then have to come back again under the provisional rules. All to try and discourage you. They want as many roadblocks to voting by certain groups, geographical areas, educational status/student enrollment etc. as possible.
They do not focus efforts to catch owners of multiple properties voting in more than one jurisdiction. Mainly because they don't have the political will to go against the more affluent. They don't have the political will to go against "churches" that violate the laws when they become mainly about politics with a small serving of religion on the side.
