need to be removed from the rolls. If you skip two major elections, you probably should be purged.
Two decades ago I ran for office, did door-to-door canvassing, introducing myself, asking for their vote. I had lists of registered voters. At many, many addresses, people with at least three, usually more, different surnames were registered at that address. It was somewhat nuts.
So yeah, purging voter rolls is a necessary thing. And double-checking your own registration is likewise a good idea.

Purging has to be monitored, but I'm sure I've been purged from rolls at least 4 times because I moved
