The RC Concordat with Nazi Germany was appeasement that enabled the Nazi atrocities. But, at least there were members of the RC Church who had more courage than their leaders. Several nuns, priests, and RC lay persons risked their lives to shelter people who were targeted by Nazis or to smuggle them out to safe places with false IDs.
