But totally agree with you that it's not the Trump admins place to sanction any UN official based on their opinion of their performance. Especially after Trump lifted sanctions on the worst and most violent extremist settlers in the West Bank. I shouldn't be shocked by any of the hypocrisy shown by the current US Govt, who are in no way whatsoever friends or supporters of Israel.

On edit- a bit off topic, but trying to meddle in the affairs of multinational organisations and other countries is something the US Govt thrives on. They're talking about 200% tariffs on pharmaceuticals from Australia because they think our Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (a cap of around $30 for all Australians on all medications) is 'socialised medicine's and would like the Australian govt to stop the scheme.
