Then Reagan era and the Contra rebels, supporting government death squads in El Salvador (from Nightline where a nun who was raped was telling how a CIA agent was present during her torture and rape). And finally NAFTA where we drove people off farms by sending industrialized agricultural goods south of the border.
Oh, and I forgot how we send "aid" to these countries in the form of weapons when the poor farmers have no one to turn to other than Russia/China and get labeled as "communist" for taking a stand against the corporations who take their land.
Much of this is probably a sweeping sloppy generalization. Where are you Aquafish? I know you could clean this up for me.
