As the surviving spouse of a Retired Military person, I am appalled at how the LGBTQ+ community who have served with dignity and grace for a country and an Administration that does not want them to even exist. To deny them Veteran's benefits and services that they rightfully earned is a stain and disgrace.

The last lines of the National Anthem states "The Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave" will have lost its meaning. My husband is perhaps as riled in death at this move by the very branch of service he served in his early adult years and later on for 18 additional years, with the MN Army and Air National Guard; as I am in this life and country I used to be proud of.
