or stay shut down. Temp extension is unacceptable and helps cover the GOP from fallout during the 2026 election. A one year extension allows them to spare their voters pain in 2026, then inflict it in 2027 without reprisal. We can no longer shiwls Trump voters from the consequences of their own actions.
