21. Regarding that SIM issue

My original cell company was Sprint, which was all-digital (no SIM) from the get-go. I had that for almost 21 years before T-Mobile finally bought them up and transitioned to their stuff (and SIMs). And agree, trying to pop that little tray out to insert the almost-microscopic SIM was a bear. Fortunately a few years later, they went to "eSIMs", so no more tiny card.

I remember a close relative, a SPITR type (Smartest Person In The Room type - in his own mind), saying way back when in discussing new PC's with a 500 MB HARD DRIVE, that he would NEVER need any more than that.

I still have my bought-in-1989 Tandy 1000TL (I miss Radio Shack) in a closet on the top shelf. It was an 8086 8 MHz processor, with 640K RAM that I later upgraded to 768K (which was basically a 128K video upgrade), and the unit came with a 3.5" floppy. I added a 5.25" floppy drive, a 30 MB "hard card" (hard drive attached to a card that could go into a PCI slot), and a new VGA video card for a higher-res monitor. It also came with a DOS 3.0 on a chip but I eventually upgraded it to DOS 3.3.

Someone had the below video on one of those -

And down the rabbit hole I have fallen!!
