The triumph of paranoid racist projection as official White House doctrine manifested during Trump’s first term, as did the lie of ‘white genocide’; indeed, the ‘white genocide’ lie in South Africa is merely the most recent incarnation of Republican white grievance politics and racist replacement theory, and Trump as the ‘savior’ of white culture under siege with South Africa a frightening portent of a future America.
