18. Not without David Pierce!

And he's definitely moved on to other things. My mother was his Sunday School teacher so we always watched at my house! I was going to say that Niles was the "breakout character," but everyone in that series did pretty well. I know that Kelsey Grammer may have crazy RW views, but he was funny in the show and became personal friends with David Pierce who is "one of us." David's Mom passed away at the local hospital and Kelsey Grammer's name is on the wall of donors because he donated in David's mother's name.

And that was one of the few comedy series that had all likable main characters. Frasier and Niles could be infuriating, but they were funny and they ended up doing the right thing. The writing was also exceptionally good. Without the original cast who worked so well together, it wouldn't be the same. The Dad was terrific and I read once that the pup Eddie got more fan mail than anyone else on the show!
