        let me put in a plug fr opera as a career field for anyone who has the voice and discipline to use it.
Lovers of opera really don't care if the people on stage are white, black, brown, yellow, red, green, purple - tall or short - fat or thin.  We care, first, whether they can sing, and second, whether they can act (and these days opera casts are starting to ciucumvent the whole debate between singing and acting by calling themselves storytellers.)
