Fun Factoid: The hobbits walked 1350 miles from Hobbiton to Mount Doom, per some fans [View all]
Lord of the Rings fans have calculated how far of a trek it was from Hobbiton to Mount Doom. The hobbits trekked approximately 1,350 miles (2,173 kilometers), which is equivalent to the journey between Los Angeles, CA and Austin, TX.

Sorry, no better source but probably easy to find with a DuckDuckGo search. DuckDuckGo is a very privacy-focused search engine, but you can, of course, use Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.
