Fun Factoid: The hobbits walked 1350 miles from Hobbiton to Mount Doom, per some fans [View all]

Lord of the Rings fans have calculated how far of a trek it was from Hobbiton to Mount Doom. The hobbits trekked approximately 1,350 miles (2,173 kilometers), which is equivalent to the journey between Los Angeles, CA and Austin, TX.
