I have seen the northern lights, once from an airplane, and another time - believe it or not - from my back yard in Minneapolis. And even under those limited conditions they were amazing. But this would be another whole level, seeing them across the sky without any light pollution. My dream trip is the Hurtigruten cruise from Bergen all the way to Kirkenes (where you really can see Russia from your house). Hurtigruten runs all year round, and they even have a cruise called the "Northern Lights Promise." Maybe someday...
