13. Spring, followed by (the best of) Summer

The relief and joy of seeing little green shoots in the ground appear, brown dead grass renewed, and bright green leaves begin to peek out on trees and bushes. Their unfolding to fullness; returning our verdant green canopy.

The burst of flowering trees, and tall shrubs: cherry, crab apple, magnolia, red bud, and others in all their glory.

The processions of flowers: crocuses, daffodils, tulips, azealias, peonies, poppies, and more.

The sense of expansiveness. 😌 🧡

Then the Best of Summer in NYC - low 80°F, and low humidity. Deep blue skies with, or without some bright white clouds.
Feels like it could on forever.
