2. Why? Why? Why? Old fashioned sinks that have a separate hot and cold faucet?

I can't stand these. You have to fill up the sink to wash your hands/face? It might look quaint but they are very impractical. Perhaps they are original to the house and they didnt want to update them. This house was built in 1959 though... even then these sinks seem Victorian. There are many houses on Britain that still have these sinks too. There is another photo above though with very modern sinks. Call me spoiled but I like warm water to come out of the faucet.
