43. Too short for the motel bed

It appears there is a trend in motels these days to provide TALL beds. I am 4'11". The motel we checked into had a bed so tall the top hit me 4 inches above my hip joint. The motel refused to provide a stepstool or a rollaway (because someone broke an arm falling off a stepstool and sued). So I was forced to wrestle around furniture in the room and climb on that to get into bed. Sure, that was safer.
