Beethoven, that is. Malcolm McDowell called him Ludwig Van in A Clockwork Orange. Malcolm McDowell's character Alex and I don't click on very many levels, but I do like his taste in music. Especially Beethoven's third, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth symphonies, all of his piano concertos, the Kreutzer sonata, and the triple concerto. After Beethoven, give me some Mahler or Sibelius, or Baroque music, especially Bach, Handel or Vivaldi.
But I don't think that's the kind of music you're talking about.
Well, then, how about the Beatles? John, Paul, George and Ringo are the best band ever. Nobody else is even close. In my humble opinion. You've probably heard the musical term "The Three B's". In case you haven't, it refers to Bach, Beethoven and Brahms. Well, I frankly never have cared much for Brahms, so my Three B's are Bach, Beethoven and Beatles.
On edit: I didn't know it when I posted this, but coincidentally, TCM is showing A Clockwork Orange in about 45 minutes.
