Flash lights, batteries, canned food, some type of charger for your cell phone, an ice chest, battery powered radio, and insect repellent or citronella candles. An emergency first aid kit. Never let your vehicle to get under half full during hurricane season. Cash may be the only way to purchase. Get a go bag ready with your important documents and medications. Also matches and a non electric can opener. Start buying your bottled water now. That's the first thing to sell out.
Now that I've scared you to death, the good news is you have a lot of advance notice, so you have time to prepare all the shelf-stable stuff.
