6. No but a good story.

She wanted Nov. 9th but that was the beginning oh deer hunting season. Her dad was okay with it but her brother said he wouldn’t be there. We butted heads a lot. We are cool now. I have the only bloodline grandkid. Plus we’ve just mellowed.

I proposed February 15th - sunset at Malibu. No ring. Day late and a dollar short as was me.
She said yes. I mean, of course. I said we’re here in her (now defunct) corporate trip so we had a car. Let’s drive to Vegas! and get an Elvis to marry us. She thought her mom would want a church wedding. At our reception her dad said if we’d done that he’d have just written us a check for what they put into the wedding.
