UPDATE: The tribe has spoken. I'm going to keep it. I was just overthinking it and looking only at the savings but not at the reality of everything. After all, it was good enough for me to buy it then, so I should give up these doubts and just enjoy my new turntable (and my OLD records.) 💕🎵🎶❤️
Thank you all for helping me to make up my mind.
Thank you all for helping me to make up my mind.
I purchased a turntable from MicroCenter for $450. Within two weeks it went on sale at the AudioTechnica website for 11% off ($50). MicroCenter will do price matching within 30 days... but I'd need to make the 50 mile round trip to the store.
That's about 2 hours of my day plus 50 miles... just to save $50.
Yes... it's a hassle to get the $50... but it IS fifty dollars after all... but it would take $5 in gasoline to get there and back... and I could be doing something more productive at home... but MicroCenter is a fun store to browse, and I might discover something else that I want-but-don't-need. And Ikea is just a little further away... which is a dangerous place for someone who loves that style and who enjoys assembling flat-pack furniture and storage shelves.
What's your advice? Should I just live with it? Or make the extra effort to get a price-match refund?

| You should live with it. (The non-sale price was worth it to you originally... so just be happy with the purchase.) | |

OP
Good idea. I think it's only with an amex or microcenter card (I used a visa)...

I used a 1200 back in my DJ-days... but it didn't belong to me, it was the property of the night club.

I had an SL 1500 that Team (remember them?) swapped for a BIC 980 they had sold me.
