1. I use an iPad

I can down load books from the library and read them at my convenience. The iPad allows me to change font, the orientation from portrait/landscape, the background color from white to black, increase/decrease the brightness, as well as to highlight a word or phrase and look it up using wifi. I've owned a kindle in the past an it can do almost the same as the iPad but I prefer the iPad over a Kindle.

Note: If you want to go the iPad way but don't want to pay full price for it, you can buy a "renewed" iPad on Amazon for about a quarter of what a new one would cost.
