All of my most favorite artists over the years have been introduced to me by their fans.

Very rarely do the artists getting hyped up in media make an impression on me - It has happened, occasionally but a music lover sharing a musician with another music lover is genuinely valuable to me.

My knowledge of the classical piano oeuvre is not expansive by any means...

So, I hear "great pianist", & I look to see if they have recordings of Chopin - who I at least have a decent history with

This record makes me wish a had a better grasp of the genre. I don't have the vocabulary to describe what I'm hearing.

All I can do is be impressed
