Working title -- Horse and rider coming out of barn. [View all]

This image is one I took some thirty some years ago with my Nikon FA, whose matrix metering made many a photo better (I never did do so well with the center-weighted metering on my FE2).

That morning my wife and I were approaching a barn we'd not visited before. I saw the rider approaching and instinctively manually focused and clicked. You can tell the camera was not auto-focus 'cuz the image is slightly out of.

None the less this was the first time I shot a horse and rider and, I've always thought,
lucked out when the print looked like anything at all presentable.
