3. Not at all. Law licenses look exactly the same every year,

and if you didn't toss the old one when you got the new one, it would be easy to grab the expired one and send it in or a copy by mistake. I sometimes forgot to throw away my expired one (I might still have one even though I'm retired now). She was always current as far as the state was concerned; her license had never lapsed. It's a non-issue.
