Why do I need to show a passport to vote? AM I VOTING IN PARIS?

NO, I am voting a few miles from where I own a home and PAY TAXES.

This flames me up like nothing else. I recently had to obtain a marriage certificate from my first marriage... dissolved over forty years ago (AT COST ), to prove one name change. I have the second certificate from my current marriage to prove my second name change. I took these, along with my birth certificate and social security card, to apply for the Real ID.
I was told that my Birth Certificate, which I have used all of my life for Licenses and Passports, was no longer valid because the State of NJ passed a law invalidating Birth Certificates issued before a certain year. (Yeah... I'm old.
Now I have to go to NJ to get a new Birth Certificate issued. THIS IS SOME BULLSHIT.

Right now, the FUCK YOU is very strong with me, but this is exactly what they want, isn't it? For women to give up?
Because this is tiring and expensive and ridiculous and disrespectful and un-American and ...
Well... you get me.

Rant off, I guess.
