With climate change, though, even parts of Europe that were temperate several years ago now have very high summer temperatures. I’ve not been to Vancouver, but it is supposed to be a lovely city. I have friends who spend summers in Michigan around one of their many lakes. Maine has lovely summer weather, but it can be expensive and has black fly issues in some summer weeks.

You might also just try renting in a few different cooler areas for the hottest months while hanging on to your house until you find a place you really like. I’ve found rentals in many locations, including Europe, through VRBO and AirB&B. It’s a good way to see if you like an area without making a big commitment.
