9. Church as a business

I have been to several non denominational or evangelical churches in the last 10 years or so.

I discovered I don’t need

1) Praise dancers - teens and women strutting their stuff during “worship”

2) Christian rock music - WTF?

3) Assignment to one of the Twelve Tribes of Israel - double WTF

4) Church as a family - who’s your daddy?

5) Hymn lyrics projected on a screen.

Nope.

My dear mother-in-law loved Joel Osteen. I still remember the first time I walked into his “church.”

All I could think about was the vulture and longhorn that appeared onstage during a ZZ Top concert.🤣
