4. Interesting. Isn't "bearded man dressed as a female pirate" kinda 'drag' within a 'drag'?

I mean, the occupation of 'Pirate' was usually reserved for men, wasn't it? So, a man dressed as a female pirate, would be one who steps out of one's gender expectations and then steps out of THAT gender expectation!
Reminds me of a gay Rock Hudson that had to pretend to be straight, playing a movie role where he was a straight man pretending to be gay!
