Help with WiFi and/or Windows Security

I have a new HP Victus Windows Gaming laptop that I purchased just last month. It was working fine until yesterday. 2 things happened, but I don't know which one broke it.

1) When I opened it up, it started updating, even though I don't have automatic updates turned on.
2) We got a new modem from Xfinity.

It connects to the WiFi just fine. But I can't browse most sites on either Microsoft Edge or Opera. We have several different devices connected to our WiFi, including 2 Windows11 computers, 2 MacBooks, Mac Mini, iPad, iPhones, cameras, etc., and they all work. It's just this one computer that's not working right.

I thought it was something about their firewall, although I don't know what changed there, but everything works just fine when I use my phone's Personal Hotspot. I've tried resetting the network adapters and that doesn't help.

I found out the hard way that there is no way to call either HP or Microsoft. I'm at a loss. Does anyone have any ideas? TIA
